The restaurant The Owl and the Pussycat can cater for up to 90 guests at any one time in its four distinct areas. The main restaurant and adjoining gallery are comfortably capable of seating 40 people and our secluded garden, pictured left, another 25 during the summer months. And our elegant upstairs function room - fast becoming a favourite weekend haunt for many of our regulars - has space for another 25 diners. |

The kitchen Head chef Nils Swindell, pictured on the left, has been in charge of the culinary side of the O&P since the early part of 2006. Nils has previously worked under celebrity chefs Rick Stein at his renowned Padstow eaterie and John Burton-Race at The New Angel in Dartmouth before coming to Teignmouth to take up his first head chef role. He is ably assisted by Marco Tavoso, who was himself tutored by the famous Italian chef Gualtiero Marchesi. |

Teignmouth Situated on the southern coast of Devon some eight miles from Torquay and 12 miles from the lovely cathedral city of Exeter, Teignmouth is undergoing something of a renaissance. The former Victorian seaside resort is reinventing itself as a swanky place to live and visit with none of the second home artificiality and extortionate prices found in some parts of the Westcountry. |

How to find us The Owl and the Pussycat is tucked away in Teign Street just around the corner from the centre of the town. From the seafront, make your way past The Triangle into Bank Street, past Boots, Woolies and the Co-op and you'll see us across the road two doors down from Malloy's pub. If you're driving, head towards Teign Street Car Park and then turn left on foot into Teign Street itself and you'll find us near the far end. |
